This course is designed to equip you with all the basic skills and background knowledge to become a competent powerboat driver. No previous experience is needed for this course.

This is a 2 day course, the 2nd date is the Sunday

Product Description

Powerboat level 2 is designed to equip you with all the basic skills and background knowledge to become a competent powerboat driver. No previous experience is needed for this course.

This award also forms the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. You’™ll learn how to launch and recover from a road trailer, high and low speed manoeuvre and seamanship skills such as man-overboard recovery, anchoring and the emergency stop. Shore-based sessions will include instruction in engine maintenance, practical use of charts and compasses, weather interpretation and legal requirements.

A maximum of 3 participants per course.

If you have 1 or 2 other people interested in taking the course we can arrange dates to suit.

What’s included?
All course costs include safety equipment, waterproof clothing and qualified instructors
Do I get a certificate?
The course follows the syllabus of the Royal Yachting Association Level 2 Powerboating.

All courses are subject to sufficient numbers and suitable weather conditions and are non-residential. In the case of insufficient numbers being booked you will be notified in the week leading up to the course and offered an alternative date.
