Product Description

SUP evening sessions are two hours of stand-up paddleboarding, 18:30 – 20:30. These are designed for people who already hold a WSA Discover award or have equivalent experience and above. We are looking at developing skills and after work chill with a social element. We also have some different themed clinic’s planned, including start racing and expedition preparation.
Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP) is similar to surfing except the paddler uses a longer canoe type paddle to move through the water while standing on a large style surfboard. Contrary to surfing however, stand up paddleboarding doesn’t require an ocean or waves.

Stand Up Paddleboarding isn’t that hard to learn, as unlike normal surfing you can learn to do it on almost any type of water. To start with you will find standing up on the board and paddling to be the trickiest part. If you already surf then the wave riding part should be pretty familiar, except that you will be riding for longer and more often!

If you are new to SUP then why not try SUP lessons or book onto one of our Water Skills Academy (WSA) Discover Award until you become more confident on a board then feel free to join this group too.
