This year we have more SUP (stand up paddleboard) river trips than ever. A guided river trip is great for friends and families to experience together. Your experienced and qualified instructor/guide will guide you safely throughout your route and gentle rapids.
Our tours will start at 9:00 and finish around 16:30.
These river trips are suitable for anyone who has taken our WSA Water Skills discover award or higher.
Routes will be decided upon water levels, weather and abilities of the group. They will be between 5 and 10 Km long, we will aim to do a different part of the river each time.
Please see the table below as to which river trip is on each day.
The River Wye is the fifth-longest river in the UK, stretching some 215 kilometers (134 miles) from its source on Plynlimon in mid-Wales to the Severn estuary. For much of its length, the river forms part of the border between England and Wales. The Wye Valley (lower part) is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Wye is important for nature conservation and recreation.
The River Severn is the second longest river in the British Isles at roughly 354 kilometers (220 mi) It gains an altitude of 610 meters (2,001 ft) within the Cambrian Mountains in Plynlimon, near Llanidloes in Powys. It then flows through a number of locations including Shrewsbury, Worcester and Gloucester and has the largest water flow in England and Wales.
The River Avon is a river in central England. Flowing generally southwestwards, it is a major left-bank tributary of the River Severn, of which it is the easternmost tributary system. It is also known as the Warwickshire Avon or Shakespeare’s Avon, to distinguish it from several other River Avons in the United Kingdom.
