The WSA SUP Foundation Instructor is the first rung on the coaching pathway for becoming a WSA instructor.
There are many NGB (National Governing Bodies) contesting for the main spot for SUPing. WSA In our opinion offers the widest variety of courses whilst being the friendliest to deal with. The coaching pathway is detailed below;
What can I teach?
As a foundation Instructor, you will be able to teach the WSA SUP Discover module and assist with higher instructors on other modules.
What equipment will I need?
We have all of the equipment that you will require, however if you wish to bring anything of your own you are welcome to. Please ring if you intend to leave it on site overnight.
To attend the course you will require the following;
- WSA Membership – https://wsa.tahdah.me/account/registernew
- First Aid – BC Lifeguard Aquatic First Aid Level 1
- WSA Saftey & Rescue
Will I get a certificate?
At the end of the course as long as you have met all the prerequisites. Your paperwork will be sent off and the certificate will be emailed and posted to you from WSA.
This Course requires a minimum of 6 people to run. If there are insufficient numbers the course will be moved to another date. If you are unable to attend a full refund will be given.
